Inspired by the birthplace of her grandfather, Rosemary Masic presents a Hungarian winter's tale for Nevenka Winter 2008. The collection, titled "Zima Marama" (meaning winter scarf), represents women working in Hungarian villages and their labour of love - cross stitched, hand embroidered handkerchiefs, bed linen and table cloths. Many of these original vintage pieces were replicated into dresses and fringed scarves that are made of New Zealand wool cloth. Rosemary continues her trademark flair of infusing Eastern European inspiration with multicultural elements and contemporary design.

A love of drawing at an early age led Clint Webster to design edgy women’s clothing which experiments with denim, leather and different fabrics. Clint's foray into the competitive women's denim market has proved extremely successful and his “Booty Huggers” jeans are now a signature item of the ClintonCharlie label. Successfully creating a more shapely look to a woman’s derrière, these jeans ensure a tight and snug fit with no nasty sagging or exposing of underwear when you sit down. They come in different cuts and washes and have become the new favourite for many women, including Nova 96.9's Cal Wilson.

"It’s not really a cohesive storyline but more like a collage of detail, colour and texture that makes sense in my head and combines to create the collection" says Therese. Read about some of the highlights from fashion week here. Finally a return to the original energy and innovation we expect to see from one of the most anticipated events on the fashion calendar. The schedule of over 60 shows produced many stars including Easton Pearson, Friedrich Gray, silence is golden and Konstantina Mittas. Front row celebrities were Miranda Otto, Mischa Barton, Miranda Kerr and Eve. Best forgotten were the "Don't you know who I am, I don't wait in queues" tantrums outside the shows, the "Don't you know who I am, I must sit in the front row" tantrums inside the shows, goodie bag snatchers who stop at nothing to steal bags which don't belong to them and that smell in The Cargo Theatre...
