The year 2007 marked the release date of “to each her own”. Creatively inspired by Athena Lukeides and arriving with a raw expression of glamour and shape. The presentation consisted of a one print design that captured a mystical wilderness through an array of bold colours teamed with impeccable styling. Her story is a blend of drive, passion and creative experimentation that trigged the emergence of desodero. Its cultivation is a result of 12 years within the fashion industry with no real formal training to attest to.


The waters of the Mediterranean, picturesque sunsets, the movement of Rio De Janeiro coupled with the spirituality of its dance culture are all tools for the development of Athena’s Desodero. These key natural fundamentals aid in the retention of the products authenticity and also capture the purity, essence and sexual sophistication of the feminine form.


Desodero's eagerly anticipated Spring Summer 2010/11 collection upholds its reputation and delivers individual designs and beautiful quality swimwear. It combines sophisticated gathered one pieces, detailed bandeaus and signature cheeky bikinis. Shades of navy, red tones and golds are featured throughout and prints are inspired from nature and beyond.
