Lisa Blue is a swimwear label with heart and purpose and was born from a story that took place several years ago when Lisa Burke came face to face in the water with a baby and mother humpback whale in Tonga. In that moment she made a promise to the baby whale that she would do whatever she could to help protect their species. Lisa also pondered the relationship between surfing, fashion, whales, dolphins and swimwear.

From the blue, her dream was born. Launching the label was the first steps for Lisa in realising her dream of raising funds to assist in protecting the gentle sea mammals.

Over the years Lisa’s life has encompassed a lot of study and travel. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, studying kinesiology, running a horse trail riding business, working as an English teacher in a Japanese fishing village, and also living in India for 5 years - these rich experiences have inspired Lisa in her first collection as she draws on her past.

Pledging 25% of her profits to conservation, the label is Lisa’s way of doing something for the environment after a life-changing experience with a humpback whale.

Lisa Blue represents the girl of the future who can be sexy, beautiful, powerful and environmentally aware at the same time. She is not afraid to share her beauty with the world and she shows other girls that they too, can shine.
