In just six years, Sydney Streetwear label ‘Meet Tyrone’ has established itself as one of Australia’s edgiest, most wearable and fashion forward local brands and the seasoned designer behind the brand, Bill Chen, is back with Meet Tyrone’s Autumn Winter 2009 range suitably titled ‘Inkblot test’.

Meet Tyrone was established to deliver graphic art to a larger audience in new and interesting ways. Following the success of Bill’s first foray into fashion back in 2002, Meet Tyrone has continued to steadily grow and gain a reputation among Australia’s young innovators, as one of the coolest brands on the block.

Meet Tyrone’s simple and clean design aesthetic encourages a relaxed approach to fashion, catching the attention of Purple Sneakers resident DJs including PHDJ and will soon be seen in an upcoming Australian feature film called ‘Backpacker’.

The label is known for its signature shirting and graphic printed tees that are brightly coloured in summer and classically dark in winter.

The Autumn Winter 2009 ‘Inkblot test’ range represents Meet Tyrone’s ability to design specifically for men and women who want to look effortlessly chic and stylish, never compromising comfort. The collection of essential Autumn/Winter pieces is created from classic winter materials such as cotton and a mixed cotton polyester fabric and is inspired by Ink Blot psychology tests.

As well as classic t-shirts ‘Inkblot test’ is not like any other range. After the huge success of the ‘Stalker hoody’ in the previous winter range Meet Tyrone has expanded the hoody range experimenting with a variation of cuts and the introduction of magnet buttons. The range also includes long sleeve V neck shirts, hooded sweaters, collared shirts, zip vests, bomber jackets and for the first time has introduced detachable ties and broaches to the range.
