Alice's
Story
Alice Patrick grew up in Rwanda and spent many happy years making
her own clothes gaining inspiration from her grandmother who was a
wonderful seamstress. However in 1994, Alice was forced to escape
from Rwanda's horrific genocide where she lost her entire family in
the massacre.
Despite the unimaginable atrocities Alice experienced, she feels lucky
and has an amazing outlook on life. After migrating to Australia,
her passion for clothing and fashion continued. The first few years
here saw Alice being a successful model who then went on to train
as a make-up artist. However a sewing machine was never far from her
reach and Alice realised one of her biggest dreams by launching her
own fashion label.

Beautiful Girl
Alice wanted to create a range which reflected her own style. As a
vibrant, social butterfly, Alice loves to feel beautiful, as does
any woman and this inspired her to call her label 'MWASI KITOKO' meaning
'BEAUTIFUL GIRL'. "I wanted whoever wearing my garments to feel
beautiful."
